Hey everyone! This is my entry to the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada's 25@25 contest. My theme/short phrase is "The Importance of Women". To me, the mistreatment of females is one of the biggest issues regarding Canada-Asia relations. My belief is that female infanticide, sex-selective abortions, violence against women, and denying women access to education is wrong. In the allotted 25-year timeframe, I believe Canada should work on improving the livelihood of women all across Asia, if not the world.
I would love to hear everyone's comments and feedback; please feel free to comment below! Freedom, of course, is what Canadian society is all about. =)
The song used at the end is Sarah MacLachlan's "Angel" (Arista Records).

THE PIECE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND DRAWING ATTENTION TO A VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE, THAT BEING THE TREATMENT OF WOMEN AS THIRD CLASS CITIZENS IN SOME PARTS OF THE WORLD. GOOD JOB IN PUTTING TOGETHER THAT VIDEO!

Great vision, Neal!
Its time that even as the continent with half this world's population takes its place of leadership on the global stage, its leaders ensure equality of genders in their societies.
We need today's Bethune to draw attention to the plight of the other half of Asia's population and inspire action in that continent.
